How Do I Delete a Page in Word That Won't Delete

Sometimes, when you’re working on a document in Microsoft Word, you may find that you can’t delete a page. This can be incredibly frustrating, as it prevents you from creating the document you need. Fortunately, there are a few tricks you can use to delete a page in Word that won’t delete.

    Deleting a Stubborn Page

The first thing you should try when you’re unable to delete a page is to double-check that there isn’t any content on the page. If there is, you can use the Delete key to delete it. If that doesn’t work, you can try using the Select All command. This will select all the content on the page, including any hidden content that you may not be able to see. Once you’ve selected all the content, you can press the Delete key to remove it.

    Removing Unwanted Content

If the page still won’t delete, you may need to try a few other tricks. If you’re using Microsoft Word for Windows, you can try using the Show/Hide command. This will show any hidden content on the page, such as page breaks or hidden text boxes. Once you’ve identified the hidden content, you can select it and press the Delete key to remove it.

If you’re using Microsoft Word for Mac, you can try using the Reveal Formatting command. This will show any formatting codes that may be causing the page to be stubborn. Once you’ve identified the formatting codes, you can select them and press the Delete key to remove them.

Finally, if none of these tricks work, you can try using the Go To command. This will take you to the page that won’t delete. Once you’re there, you can press the Delete key to remove the page.

Deleting a stubborn page in Microsoft Word can be a frustrating experience, but with a few simple tricks, you can get rid of it. By double-checking that there isn’t any content on the page, using the Show/Hide or Reveal Formatting commands, and using the Go To command, you can delete a stubborn page in Word.
