    Application of Butterfly Valve

The Van bướm operate by quickly shutting off fluid flow. This is accomplished by rotating a disc that seals against the valve seat.

A rod inserted through the disc connects to an actuator outside the valve, allowing it to be rotated between fully open and fully closed positions.

    Flow Control

Butterfly valves or Van một chiều are commonly employed for flow control applications like throttling and proportional flow. To operate them, a quarter-turn disk rotates on an axis fixed within the stem to initiate and regulate fluid flow.

The disc seals against a seat located on the inside diameter periphery of a valve body. This seat can be resilient, made from softer material which will compress when compressed by closing pressure, or in high-performance valves, may be constructed out of metal.

Butterfly valves come in a variety of styles and can be distinguished by the body style, seat design and disk alignment. Some even classify them according to their mode of operation.

    Pressure Control

Butterfly valves or Đồng hồ nước are often employed for pressure control applications. These valves can be utilized to shut off or permit the flow of water, chemicals and other liquids.

This type of valve operates with the rotation of a disc mounted at the center of the pipe. It’s controlled by a rod inserted through that disc and an actuator located outside the valve.

A butterfly valve consists of four major components: a stem, disk, seat and valve body.

The stem connects to the disc and is secured in place with O-rings and bushings.

Butterfly valves differ from ball valves in that they do not use gaskets to secure their seats. As such, any flange or pipeline must be clean prior to installation in order to avoid damaging either the seat or disc.

Insert the valve by spreading its flanges and aligning the pipe-work for precise centering. Carefully insert the disc between these flanges, hand tightening flange bolts with your hands if necessary – this ensures no interference from piping or flanges during operation of the valve.

    Temperature Control

Butterfly valves are commonly employed to regulate the temperature of a fluid. Additionally, they can be utilized for controlling the flow of water and other liquids.

A butterfly valve is composed of a disk that rotates to close or open a pipe. This can be done manually or automatically with an actuator located outside the valve.

Butterfly valves come in a variety of body styles, materials used and disk alignment. Knowing these distinctions can be useful when selecting the correct valve type for your application.

Valve body styles vary, including wafer and lugged. Lugged style valves feature threaded lugs around their circumference (Figure 4.63).

    Chemical Processing

Chemical processing relies heavily on valves as an essential piece of equipment to regulate flow, pressure and temperature in various systems.

When processing material, the type and size of valve needed will differ. Valves can be constructed out of various materials such as PVC and chlorinated PVC (CPVC).

Valves can be used in various ways to control the flow of liquids or gases. Some, like ball valves, are designed to completely stop flow while others like gate valves and butterfly valves help direct it in one direction.

Butterfly valves are quarter-turn valves commonly used in the chemical industry. Not only do these valves resist corrosion from many chemicals, but they’re easy to operate too – with minimal turning force needed for space saving applications such as natural gas pipelines or oil refineries. Butterfly valves also serve high pressure needs such as those found on natural gas pipelines and oil refineries.
